Bottle Renewal

Alivio redesigned its bottle in the summer of 2023, removing the black gasket from the set.
(Before the update, the instruction manual also included instructions for connecting the connector directly without using the bottle, but this has not been included since the update.)

If you are attaching the connector directly to the main body, it will be difficult to turn the connector without the black gasket, but if you are not attaching it directly to the main body (to be used with a new bottle), the black gasket is not necessary.

Electromagnetic waves from ionization do not react to simple measuring devices. When measured with a precision measuring device, a very small value (approximately 5 to 20 V/m) similar to that in the air is detected. It is said that electromagnetic waves are about 300 V/m on trains and 30 V/m even in hot springs, so please rest assured.

[Guidelines for lithium battery deterioration]

Just like a cell phone, lithium batteries deteriorate with use. Depending on how they are used, their capacity will decrease by around 70% after 300 charges, and by around 50% after 500 charges compared to when they were new. When they can only be used once or twice on a full charge, it's time to replace them.

[Guideline for deterioration of hydrogen generation mesh]

It will deteriorate depending on the frequency of use and water quality. When no bubbles are produced even after base cleaning, it is time to replace it.

The lithium battery used in Alivio has a voltage of 3.7V and consumes 0.0074Wh of power, which is within the carry-on range.

If there is poor contact between the charging cable and the device, the "E" message will be displayed and an error sound will be heard. Please double-check that the cable is not being pulled (for example, if the device is placed in a high place), and try re-inserting it a few times, rotating it slightly, or pushing it in a little while it is plugged in.

Also, the magnetic contact surfaces of the device and charging cable are often dirty with rust, so wipe off any dirt. Use a cotton swab to clean the magnet part on the device.

We received a lot of feedback that the initial model would turn on simply by touching the button, which was inconvenient, so from autumn 2023 onwards, the time it takes for the Alivio to start up after being touched has been increased by approximately one second.

Place your thumb firmly against the switch. If your finger is dry, it will be difficult to detect, so if your finger is dry, moisten it a little before touching it.

If you hear a beep, it means that the battery is low. Repeating this will consume the reserve charge and cause deterioration of the lithium battery, so if you hear a beep and the power goes off, charge it immediately.

A characteristic of lithium batteries is that overcharging and over-discharging can easily cause the battery to deteriorate, so it is best to keep the battery capacity between 20 and 80%.

The IONION can be harmed by moisture, so when using in wet environments, put it under your clothes or in a pocket (when raining, washing your face or hands, gargling, etc.)

We recommend using soft mineral water with Alivio.

Tap water is
- Because it contains chlorine, the hydrogen produced may be used to eliminate residual chlorine, reducing the efficiency of hydrogen generation. - We do not recommend this product for the following reasons: - The mesh (membrane) may be prone to becoming dirty, which varies depending on the region.

There is no significant problem if you use tap water a few times, but if you feel that the hydrogen bubbles have decreased, we recommend cleaning it with citric acid.

Like pure water, reverse osmosis water (RO treated water) contains almost no minerals and is therefore not suitable for generating hydrogen. Please use water from a water purifier that does not use a reverse osmosis membrane (RO membrane) or purified water.

Because Alivio uses a solid polymer membrane, the water required to generate hydrogen gas must have a conductivity of 1.0 μS or more; hydrogen gas will not be generated if it is below that.
Purified water for medical use has a conductivity of 2.0 μS, and industrial use has a conductivity of 5.0 μS, so it can be used, but RO-treated water also includes pure water and ultra-pure water with a conductivity of 1.0 μS or less, so as a precaution, we have decided that RO-treated water itself cannot be used. RO-treated water can also be used with Alivio if it has a conductivity of 1.0 μS or more.

Instead of highly alkaline water, please use normal (close to neutral) purified water, water from a water purifier, or soft mineral water.

There is no need to change it every day. The recommended replacement interval is about every week to 10 days.

Minerals in the water can stick to the bottle, forming a film that can make the inside of the bottle slimy.

The base of the Alivio is not completely waterproof and cannot be washed , but the bottle can be removed from the main body and washed.
Remove it from the base and wash it regularly under running water. If you wash it with a sponge, be gentle as scrubbing too hard can cause scratches. You can also use detergent.

Yes, it is safe to drink. If you do drink it, please use fresh water. Also, the hydrogen concentration decreases over time, so please drink it as soon as possible after generation.

The concentration is 700-800 ppm immediately after 30 minutes of use with Alivio, and about 1500 ppm immediately after one hour of use (using Osaka Prefecture tap water passed through our Tiara water purifier). Hydrogen water is saturated with hydrogen at 1.6 ppm, so the concentration is very high. (If left unattended, the concentration will decrease over time.)
